**Position Overview**: As a Fashion Designer specializing in Baby and Kids Wear, you will play a crucial role in shaping our brand's aesthetic identity and product offerings. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing seasonal collections that resonate with our target audience, ensuring they are both fashionable and functional.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Design Conceptualization**: Develop original concepts for each season's collection, taking into account current fashion trends, market research, and brand identity.

2. **Sketching and Illustration**: Create detailed sketches and illustrations of designs, providing clear direction for pattern makers and production teams.

3. **Fabric and Material Selection**: Source and select appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the brand's quality standards and design vision.

4. **Pattern Making and Garment Construction**: Work closely with pattern makers and sample makers to translate design concepts into wearable garments, ensuring proper fit and functionality for babies and children.

5. **Sample Review and Iteration**: Oversee the fitting and refinement process, making necessary adjustments to prototypes and samples to achieve desired aesthetic and fit.

6. **Color and Print Development**: Collaborate with the design team to develop color palettes and prints that complement each collection's theme and resonate with our target demographic.

7. **Trend Forecasting**: Stay abreast of emerging trends in children's fashion, lifestyle, and culture, integrating relevant influences into design concepts.

8. **Quality Assurance**: Conduct thorough quality checks on prototypes and samples to ensure adherence to design specifications, construction standards, and safety regulations.

9. **Collaboration**: Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and commercially viable product offerings.

10. **Market Research**: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation within the Baby and Kids Wear segment.

11. **Maintaining Design Archives**: Organize and maintain a comprehensive archive of design assets, including sketches, patterns, and samples, for future reference and inspiration.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- Proven experience (1 year) working as a Fashion Designer, preferably specializing in Baby and Kids Wear.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
- Strong sketching and illustration skills, with a keen eye for detail and proportion.
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction techniques and têxtiles.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and provide constructive feedback.
- Passion for children's fashion and a deep understanding of the unique needs and preferences of young consumers.
- Familiarity with sustainability principles and ethical sourcing practices in the fashion industry is a plus.
