**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Conceptualization and Design:

- Create and develop original fashion designs that align with the brand's aesthetic and target market.
- Stay informed about fashion trends, market preferences, and competitor offerings.

2. Sketching and Rendering:

- Produce detailed sketches and design illustrations, considering color, fabric, and silhouette.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software for digital rendering and presentation.

3. Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Creative Director and other team members to understand design requirements and brand vision.
- Collaborate with the Product Development Manager to ensure designs are production-feasible.

4. Material and Trim Selection:

- Collaborate with the Fabric Sourcing Merchandiser to select appropriate materials, fabrics, and trims for each design.
- Consider cost, quality, and sustainability in material selection.

5. Prototyping and Sample Development:

- Oversee the creation of prototypes and initial samples, collaborating with pattern makers and sample machinists.
- Make design adjustments as needed based on sample feedback.

**6. Presentation and Communication**:

- Present design concepts to the team, providing clear explanations and justifications for design choices.
- Communicate with relevant teams to ensure a shared understanding of design specifications.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs.
- Proficient in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and/or other CAD tools.
- Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and production processes.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, têxtiles, and color theory.
