Job Title: PGT Economics Teacher

Location: Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad

Salary Range: ₹35,001 - ₹40,000 per month

Experience Required: 1-2 years

Qualifications: B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) with a Master’s degree in Economics

Job Summary:
The PGT Economics Teacher will be responsible for teaching economics to senior secondary school students (grades 11 and 12), following the curriculum and preparing students for academic success in board and competitive exams. The role involves lesson planning, classroom instruction, student assessment, and guiding students in understanding complex economic concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cover macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, and development economics.

Teach students to analyze and interpret economic theories, policies, and current events relevant to the field.

Ensure lessons align with board syllabus standards and prepare students effectively for exams.

Classroom Management and Engagement:
Create a positive learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and curiosity.

Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline while fostering respect and inclusivity.

Encourage student engagement through interactive teaching methods, discussions, and group projects.

Student Assessment and Evaluation:
Design and administer assignments, tests, and quizzes to assess students’ understanding and progress.

Provide constructive feedback, identify areas for improvement, and offer additional support for students as needed.

Prepare progress reports and maintain records of student performance and attendance.

Student Guidance and Support:
Offer academic counseling and support for students interested in pursuing higher studies in economics.

Prepare students for board exams and competitive entrance exams by providing focused review sessions.

Parental Communication:
Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings to communicate students’ academic progress, strengths, and areas for development.

Inform parents of important updates, including exam schedules, syllabus changes, and academic resources.

Professional Development and Collaboration:
Participate in staff meetings, educational workshops, and continuous professional development to stay current with educational trends.

Collaborate with other department teachers to enhance the economics curriculum and teaching strategies.

Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events as required.
