Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

A successful Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with Accounting principles

Requirements and skills
- 2+ yrs of proven experience as a Accountant
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, statutory compliance.
- Awareness of business trends
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
- Immediate joiners preferred
- Experience in retail industry will be an added advantage
- Experience in greytHR portal is preferred

**Salary**: ₹180,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kuvempu Nagar, Mysore - Mysore, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
