**Job Description**:
Worldwide Infusion Specialty Disposables (WWIPD) is a $1.4 Billion global business which focusses on selling dedicated and non-dedicated infusion sets and connectors. The strategy of Global Supply Chain for WWIPD is driven from BD Switzerland Corporate Office. Global Supply Chain works very closely with Global Business and Regional Supply Chain teams to ensure WWIPD products are delivered to customers globally with high service level and at the lead possible cost.

I. Position Summary

The Global Supply Network Planner determines the quantities by product required to maintain target inventory levels and order product from source to replenish based upon appropriate lead time. She/he coordinates finished goods planning activities across Plants and External Supplier Network optimizing available capacity and assets. The Global Supply Network Planner supports the platform and global S&OP process. She/he also recommends/aligns on inventory levels to support the service levels in the various regions in alignment with the Global Business and Supply Chain objectives for WWIPD set by Switzerland based Supply Chain leadership.

II. Key Responsibilities
- Supply & Inventory planning
- Responsible for service level achievement in the various regions for assigned product groups in alignment with global recommendations.
- Responsible for monitoring Regional Alert Monitors.
- Work with the Global demand planning lead to get understanding on the product demands from within the various regions.
- Responsible for creating scenarios to enable allocation decisions to be made by Swiss based Sr Manager, Supply Chain, in short supply situations.
- Supports identification of appropriate planning strategy (MTO/MTS/ATO) for assigned product portfolio aligned with manufacturing practices and decision of Switzerland based leadership.
- Work with manufacturing to document and maintain lead times within the integrated supply chain that will affect required inventory levels within the various regions.
- Communicates with manufacturing to determine corrective action if required.
- Engage with the regional and worldwide planning organization on management of long term product supply shortages e.g., temporarily reduce inventory targets in order to automate the propagation / distribution of the materials with shortages, creation of manual STO's for the regions to allow fair share deployment between domestic and intercompany shipments, etc.
- Work with global demand planning lead and regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network, and maintain a key coordination point with local warehouse management and transportation functions.
- Provide projections to the manufacturing and materials management on forecasted production Volumes.
- S&OP process facilitation
- Facilitate the Supply Consensus and hence contribute to the Global S&OP process: ensure timely collection and review of the appropriate information required for this forum to accurately determine production plan and eliminate any inefficiencies potentially impacting the key metrics
- Interface with Regional Supply Chain Planners on behalf of manufacturing plants globally and S&OP Process owners
- Support WW Supply Chain key initiatives to accomplish best in class service level achievement and provide support in meeting goals across all other SC KPI's to ultimately help manage production/distribution costs
- Business performance management
- Responsible for Global key metrics, i.e., backorder, inventory turns, FDS, OTIF and liaise with regional business cross-functional leadership team to understand business strategy and future business needs
- Translate business/supply chain needs into supply needs
- Work closely with plant to understand capacity resources, LTP and lead product changes and launches to finalize the production schedule.
- Maintain a strong link with the business activities and global issues as they may affect respective products sold in the region regardless of where the products are manufactured.
- Project Management
- Will be required to lead or participate in critical projects from time to time either related to process improvement, cost efficiency, lead time reduction etc.

III. Education
- _ University degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field._

IV. Experience:

- _ 5 years of experience preferably in supply planning_

IV. Following Experiences/Traits will be helpful:

- _ Supply and Inventory Planning experience in a large or complex organization_
- _ ERP experiences to includes APO, SCM DP/SP or other tools_
- _ APICS certification preferred_
- _ Ability to flex working hours to work in different time zones_
- _ Culturally sensitive and Ability to work across cultures_
- _ Excellent oral and written communication skills_
