Key Responsibilities:

- **Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development**:

- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with students, parents, and educational staff to set achievable goals and objectives for individual students.
- Regularly review and update IEPs based on student progress and changing needs.
- **Instruction and Curriculum Adaptation**:

- Provide differentiated instruction and support to students with a range of learning disabilities and special needs.
- Adapt and modify the curriculum to accommodate individual learning styles and requirements.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students and facilitate their learning.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, independence, and self-confidence.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a supportive and orderly learning environment.
- Address and manage behavioral issues with appropriate interventions and support.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess students' progress and performance through formal and informal assessments.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic achievements and areas for improvement.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and interventions.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress, needs, and strategies for support.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as required.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with best practices, educational strategies, and legal requirements in special education.
- Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.
- **Administrative Tasks**:

- Complete and maintain required documentation, including IEPs, assessment records, and compliance reports.
- Manage and track resources and materials needed for students with special education needs.

Qualifications:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-4 years of teaching experience in special education or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing IEPs and working with students with diverse needs.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kannamangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
