Reports To: VFX Supervisor

The Volume TD is responsible for the technical implementation of real-time visual effects (VFX) in Unreal Engine on set using motion capture (mocap). This includes setting up and maintaining the Unreal Engine environment, creating and debugging shaders, and working with artists to integrate VFX into the live-action footage using mocap data.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and maintain the Unreal Engine environment on set
- Create and debug shaders
- Work with artists to integrate VFX into the live-action footage using mocap data
- Troubleshoot technical issues
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Unreal Engine features and releases
- Setting up and configuring the mocap system
- Capturing and processing mocap data
- Integrating mocap data into the Unreal Engine environment
- Creating and animating characters using mocap data
- Troubleshooting mocap-related issues
- Maintaining the mocap database

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer graphics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in VFX
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Strong understanding of real-time rendering
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with mocap
