Job Overview:
As a Finance Executive in Modern Trade, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis within the modern trade channel. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring financial performance aligns with business objectives, and driving profitability in modern trade partnerships. You will also be responsible for managing key financial processes and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance of the modern trade channel.

Provide insights into sales performance, profit margins, and cost management to support business decisions.

Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, highlighting trends, variances, and financial risks.

Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the budgeting process for modern trade, ensuring alignment with business goals and financial targets.

Regularly update forecasts based on changing market conditions, promotional activities, and sales performance.

Pricing & Margin Management:
Monitor and analyze pricing strategies, ensuring they are competitive and profitable for modern trade accounts.

Assess and recommend margin improvement strategies to enhance profitability.

Trade Spend Management:
Manage trade spend and promotional budgets, ensuring effective utilization and adherence to budget allocations.

Track and validate trade schemes and ensure they are financially sound and aligned with overall sales strategy.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to provide financial insights and drive business performance.

Act as a financial partner to the modern trade sales team, supporting them with financial planning and performance tracking.

Compliance & Internal Controls:
Ensure all financial activities are in compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and best practices.

Conduct regular audits and ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting for modern trade transactions.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and cost efficiencies within the finance operations for modern trade.

Key Requirements:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

**Experience**:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance roles, with a focus on modern trade, retail finance, or consumer goods.

Proven track record of financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and managing trade-related financial activities.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Excellent understanding of modern trade dynamics, retail business models, and trade spend management.

Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
