Introduction:
Responsible for the implementation of Barclays Physical Security Strategy and Policy, ensuring that all Physical Security standards are adhered to, whilst providing best in class physical security protection and support to Barclays’ people, premises and moveable assets, for their Area of Responsibility (AoR) within the APAC Region.

What we’re looking for:
Act as the point of contact for all Physical Security services, including those associated with both Barclays’ locations and travelling population in their AoR.
- Implement the Barclays Physical Security Policy, ensuring Physical Security and related standards together with the associated control measures are adhered to within their AoR are achieved primarily within their AoR.
- Support senior management and development of an optimal organisational model, specifically in context of changing requirements, cost challenges, organisational restructures and talent development needs.
- Proactively intercept and triage incoming issues and ad-hoc requests, using initiative and judgment to determine appropriate course of action and mobilise, determining what requires escalation and what can be directed to other members of the team
- Interpret local control requirements and wider business requests, analyse options and recommend actions to CSO team
- Management of Capital Projects, programme management and budgets for all projects and minor project works as required in AoR.
- Form part of the Physical Security Incident Management and Response capability within their AoR, providing on-call expert advice and response where appropriate.
- Management of detailed Business Assurance and conformance checks to ensure the delivery of all services provided by outsourced security vendors meet the Physical Security Standard Operational Procedures and contract agreements.
- As appropriate, lead and conduct investigations into breaches of physical security within their AoR or as requested by Line Management. Establishing and highlighting any root cause security control failure, with mitigating actions to remediate against future incident.

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience working within the Barclays’ organisation or a similarly complex Financial Sector organisational structure, in a physical security & investigations specialist risk management role.
- Experience in site security assessments, business assurance, conformance and audits.
- Experience in influencing and implementing physical security policies, standards and procedures to a wide and varied audience; including security risk strategies and their implementation at a national level
- Experience in managing physical security related incidents and investigations, including the provision of detailed reports and briefs.

What will you be doing?
- Experience managing security resources - including vendor and stakeholder management, with associated budget oversight.
- An understanding or a willingness to learn the key functions of a Corporate environment and how Physical Security integrates into both.
- Experience in managing a change programme or environment.
