We are looking for a dedicated and creative Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team.
**Job Overview**:
As a Sous Chef at Le Pondy, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining exceptional kitchen standards. You will play a vital role in maintaining the resort's reputation for fine dining and ensuring guests enjoy a memorable culinary experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Kitchen Operations**: Assist the Executive Chef in managing the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- **Menu Planning & Execution**: Help create and execute innovative, seasonal, and regionally-inspired dishes. Ensure all food items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- **Staff Management**: Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Lead by example and ensure team adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor food quality, portion control, and plating standards to maintain consistency and uphold the brand’s reputation.
- **Inventory & Ordering**: Assist with inventory management, ordering, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**: Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene, cleanliness, and safe food handling practices.
- **Customer Satisfaction**: Maintain communication with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate service delivery, as well as responding to customer feedback or requests for special dietary requirements.
- **Cost Control**: Assist in managing kitchen budgets, minimizing food wastage, and optimizing the use of resources.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role in a fine-dining or hotel kitchen environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost control procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
