**Your Role and Responsibilities**

Should be very strong on OS level understanding and its mechanics its FS/ Directories design.

DB2 - Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, and Migration (Fix packs, DB2 version migration)

Storage and Capacity Planning, File systems, Volume groups, Logical volumes.

Strong knowledge of DB2 Data maintenance utilities (Runstats, Reorg check, reorgs)

Strong working knowledge on db2 data movement utilities (export, import, load)

Should have very good knowledge on db2 with TSM support ( Eg: Backups to TSM configurations environment).

Strong working knowledge on different types of backups and restores (direct restore / redirect restore)

Troubleshooting database issues using db2diag, db2pd, db2dart, db2top, db2inspect, Snapshot monitors and Event monitors.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

Working knowledge on Db2 LUW (UDB) setup and configuration

Must have SQL Tuning using db2advisor and db2explain tools.

Should have good experience in Creating Databases, Table spaces, Tables, Views, Indexes etc.

Hands-on experience with creating/maintaining/optimizing a database (Db2 experience preferred)

Working knowledge on designing High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) systems

Should have very good hands on ; HADR TSAMP (CONFIGURATION AND SETUP)

Proficient in Performance Tuning, defining Stored Procedure and triggers

Working on periodical Health checks, Violation fix process.

Creation changes planning the changes and implementing with preplanned technotes.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**

Strong working knowledge on different types of backups and restores (direct restore / redirect restore)

Troubleshooting database issues using db2diag, db2pd, db2dart, db2top, db2inspect, Snapshot monitors and Event monitors.

Should have strong working knowledge of : Authentication and authorizations activities (Roles Based Access Control).

**Required Education**

Bachelor's Degree
