Stores / Stock Incharge (Male)

The Stores/Stock Incharge plays a crucial role in managing the inventory and materials required for the smooth functioning of a jewellery manufacturing unit. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The Stores/Stock Incharge will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of raw materials, components, finished goods, and other supplies used in the jewellery manufacturing process.

**Responsibilities**:
Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished products, packaging materials, tools, and equipment.
Monitor stock levels regularly to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to support production requirements.
Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory counts to reconcile system data with actual stock on hand.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and propose appropriate actions to minimize inventory holding costs.

Receiving and Inspection:Receive incoming materials, conduct quality checks, and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to received materials.
Ensure proper storage and segregation of different materials, taking into account specific handling requirements.

Issuance and Distribution:Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely issuance of materials required for jewellery manufacturing.
Maintain accurate records of material requests, issuances, and returns.
Implement proper documentation and authorization processes for material transactions.

Stock Control and Documentation:Implement and maintain an organized system for categorizing, labeling, and storing inventory items.
Ensure proper documentation and labeling of materials to enable easy identification and retrieval.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical inventory records using appropriate inventory management systems.

Vendor Management:Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery schedules.
Evaluate supplier performance and initiate necessary actions, such as renegotiating or seeking alternative suppliers when required.

Team Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and procurement, to ensure seamless flow of materials and resolve any operational bottlenecks.
Provide support and guidance to team members, including training on inventory management processes and systems.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree,
- Experience in Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in inventory management, stores management, or stock control, preferably in a jewellery manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, including stock valuation methods, inventory turnover, and inventory control techniques.
- Familiarity with jewellery manufacturing processes, materials, and industry-specific quality standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
