Comprehensive development expertise with IBM platforms iSeries RPG 400 RPGLE Free Format DB2 MQ Webservices CL 400 CLLE Embedded SQL SYNON Cobol

Hands on experience in one or more of the above technologies preferred

Technically competent and minimum 3 years experience in design and architecture.

To be able to provide solution in RFPs related to AS400

To be able to estimate for projects/requirements in AS400

Must be able to adapt to do tool development on AS400 side

Experience of actively participating in a team environment whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently

Must be willing to work in all location within Chennai
- Soft Skills: Good communication analytical and presentation skills problem solving skills and learning attitude

Expertise in MS Office

SYNON / COBOL would be an added advantage

He/She will be part of the Legacy Modernization team.

He/She will be responsible for maintaining the Legacy Modernization analytical model and implementing it in various consulting engagements.

He/She is also responsible for the deliverables for those consulting projects which will include the Application assessment Implementation roadmap Total Cost of Ownership and Return of Investment.

He/She will work closely with the Onsite team (working from the Customer location) and Client helping their projects in implementing this framework.

He/She will also be involved during the actual implementation phase of the project to provide better guidance and best practices to improve the overall quality of Cognizants deliverable to the client in projects.

It would be an added advantage if he/she has prior experience on Modernization Projects / has Partner solution experience with vendors like Infinite ARCAD Fresche Solutions BluAge.
