**Job Title: Fashion Designer - Mer**

**Luxury Pret Women's Western Wear**

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Design Development**:

- Create original design concepts (mood boards, color palettes, and fabric swatches) for seasonal collections, with a focus on luxury prêt and women's western wear.
- Work on sketching, pattern-making, and fabric selection, ensuring designs are aligned with the brand's aesthetic.
- Collaborate the creative team to refine design ideas and ensure consistency with brand identity.

2. **Trend Research & Market Analysis**:

- Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques.

Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and industry events to stay updated on emerging styles and trends.
- Present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders.

Prepare detailed reports on design progress, market trends, and project timelines.

3. **Collection Planning**:

- Oversee the design process from initial sketches to finished garments, ensuring timely production and quality standards are met. Collaborate with the marketing team to align designs with brand campaigns and promotional activities.

4. **Fabric & Material Sourcing**:

- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and oversee sample production.
- Ensure that fabric choices align with the design concept and maintain the highest standards of quality.

5. **Collaboration with Designers & Teams**:

- Liaise with leading national and international designers on co-design projects or collaborations.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure designs are translated effectively into final garments.
- Communicate with the production and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are executed as intended.

6. **Product Innovation & Styling**:

- Contribute innovative ideas for silhouettes, cuts, and styling to make the collection stand out in the competitive luxury fashion market.
- Work with the styling team to ensure the right combination of accessories, shoes, and styling is used in lookbooks and photo shoots.

7. **Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular fittings and revisions, ensuring each garment is made to perfection.

Make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback and production constraints.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field (Master’s degree or specialized courses in luxury fashion preferred)
- National Institute of Design (NID)/ National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)/Polimoda/Istituto Marangoni/Central St. Martins/London College of Fashion/Parsons/ FIT New York
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in luxury prêt and women’s Western wear.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a mix of luxury prêt collections and western wear designs.
- Proven experience working with national and international designers in a collaborative design environment.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, têxtiles, and technical design processes.
- Proficiency in design software
- _Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Auto CAD _
- Knowledge of global fashion trends and a passion for high-end fashion.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working with luxury brands or on high-profile collaborations.
- Strong understanding of production timelines and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in creating and managing mood boards, collection presentations, and lookbooks.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
