We are looking to hire a Fashion Designer with panache and flair to capture the mood on the street in our ready-to-wear line. The Fashion Designer will keep an eye on the street, travel to shows and read fashion magazines to spot trends and interpret specific color palettes, patterns and prints for each season. You will sketch your designs by hand, create technical production drawings and address buyers as a seasoned marketer.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Managing design process from conception through to final styling. Draw, design, and develop new clothing and accessory samples, and create and turn in documentation worksheets.

2. Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.

3. Participate in meetings to discuss designs and line development, and present and review line and concepts regularly.

4. Creating mood boards and storyboards to communicate design concepts, collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.

5. Develop pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervise making these including fitting, detailing and adaptations.

6. Overseeing production processes to ensure that garments are made to specifications and meet quality standards. Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.

7. Selecting fabrics and trims, collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.

8. Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.

9. Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers.

10. liaise closely with media team, sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items suit the customer, market and price points

11. showcase your designs at fashion and other trade shows, work with models to try out your designs and also to wear them on the catwalk at fashion shows

12. Attending trade and fashion shows to stay up-to-date on the latest trends

**Requirements and skills**

1. Bachelors degree in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or related field, with minimum 1 year garment design experience.

3. Availability to travel for research and product development.

4. Ability to do sketches by hand, ability to create, cut and sew-up patterns

5. Excellent attention to detail, Excellent design and conceptual skills, Excellent sense of style and color.

6. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

7. Ability to meet multiple deadlines, Strong time-management skills, the willingness to go the extra mile

8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

9. Ability to work alone and also to collaborate with other designer

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
