**Job Title**: Public Relations Specialist/Manager/Executive
**Department**: Marketing/Communications
**Reports To**: PR Manager/Head of Communications

**Job Summary**:
The Public Relations (PR) Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive public image for the organization by developing and executing effective communication strategies. This role involves liaising with media, managing brand reputation, organizing events, and creating content that aligns with the company’s goals and values.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Media Relations**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews or statements from company spokespeople.
- **Content Creation**:

- Develop compelling content, including blog posts, newsletters, articles, and social media updates, to communicate the organization’s message.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
- **Event Management**:

- Plan and coordinate press conferences, product launches, and public events.
- Ensure proper media coverage and manage logistics for PR-related events.
- **Brand Management**:

- Monitor public and media perception of the company and its products/services.
- Address and manage any crisis or negative publicity situations swiftly and effectively.
- Develop strategies to enhance the company’s reputation and visibility.
- **Strategy Development**:

- Create and implement PR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct research to identify target audiences and tailor communication strategies accordingly.
- **Analytics and Reporting**:

- Monitor and analyze media coverage and PR campaign performance.
- Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years of experience in public relations, media, or communications (varies by role seniority).
- **Skills**:

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in crafting press releases and media pitches.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with media and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with PR tools such as Cision, Meltwater, or similar platforms (optional).

**Preferred Skills/Experience**:

- Crisis management experience.
- Understanding of digital marketing and SEO principles.
- Previous experience working in a specific industry (healthcare & Wellenses industries ).
