- Position Profile
- Leading the SI Logistics procurement in Smart Infrastructure India to drive Logistics & 3PL Warehousing in projects & factories and ensuring Siemens
- standards, policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Defining Policies and Processes / Guidelines for operational Logistics for inbound and outbound freight for all modes (Air, Sea, Road) of transport,
- cargo and courier with control requirements.
- Focus on standardization of Logistics processes by automating, digitalizing and integrating processes in a lean manner.
- Early involvement in all Logistics related activities in case of non-stardard requirements & Projects to achieve best possible Logistics costs.
- Negotiate Frame and Rate contracts with suppliers and deploy across all BU’s of SI India.
- Driving x-BU programs and projects and have an active cooperation with BU's to optimize competitiveness through cost optimization, performance and
- quality across all business units.
- Sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation, continuous development of master supplier data base on the basis of cross functional/operational teams inputs.
- Develop, manage and engage preferred suppliers to drive supplier performance
- To increase CNI (Contribution to Net Income) through Negotiations PPC & other strategic levers
- SPOC for coordinating and offloading operational procurement activities of SI India to 3PL.
- Resolve all escalations in relation to strategic and operational logistics topics.
- Candidature requirement:

- 10+ years experience in logistics, warehousing & Procurement
- Profound knowledge of Logistics related to Air, Sea & Road Transport.
- Good ability to negotiate contracts.
- Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders across the business.
- Should possess good analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of electronic auctions and bids (e-auctions/ e-bids)
- Interest in digital & automating solutions
