**Your role**:
This ‘**Systems Administrator’** technical position on the BetaNXT UNIX support team is responsible for supporting multiple AIX 400 operating systems and environments. This role will require a strict adherence to best practices as our systems are required to be highly available, scalable, and secure. A focus on system availability, system reliability, and maintainability is critical for success of the BetaNXT business.

**About the Team**

**What You’ll Do**:

- Install, administer and support virtualized AIX servers (Power frame hardware)
- Manage associated SAN environment
- Work with OEM for troubleshooting as required
- Maintain security and process awareness and work to increase compliance
- Perform system upgrades such as firmware, OS, security patch installation
- Participate in team “on call” rotation

**Skills required**:

- 5+ years’ experience supporting AIX server operating systems
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including TCP, DNS, DHCP.
- Knowledge of SAN storage preferred.
- Any related technical certification is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with team peers
- Awareness to ITIL framework is a plus
- Exposure to tools like ServiceNow, Jira and Remedy is a plus

**Additional Information**:
Rotational shift position. 24X7 on-call support required and on a rotating basis. Weekend/holiday work may be necessary during special projects. Must demonstrate a self-motivated behavior as well as a willingness to work as part of a team. Communication skills are of utmost importance.
