- Responsible for ensuring that the standard and quality of the food production and hygiene within the department is maintained at the highest level at all times. This role is very much hands-on, requiring attention to detail and a positive work attitude. Ensure the dining experience, comfort of guests and request for food service are handled in a courteous and efficient manner.
- **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES **_(describe the major duties of the role in the order of importance)_
- Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high quality standards.
- Perform tasks within a timely manner.
- Contribute to Kitchen revenue through effective food cost control.
- Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination.
- Prepare all mise en place for all relevant menus.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation.
- Awareness departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the team.
- Meet all health and hygiene requirements.
- Be environmentally aware.
- Ensure the high level of sanitation and cleanliness of work surfaces, storage areas and overall kitchen.
- Works as part of a team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to enquiries and problem resolution.
- Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
- Understanding of Food & Beverage and Kitchen Operating Manual policies and compliance.
- Adheres to Hotel Service Quality Standards.
- Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situations.
- Understands and adheres to safety, security policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS** _(state the minimum experience, knowledge, education, language, technical skills, travelling requirements of this position.)_
- Previous experience as a Commis in a 4 or 5 star hotel with 1 or 2 years of experience in previous role
- Positive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to work with a team and to follow instructions.
- A passion to learn and a drive to succeed in a culinary/hospitality career.
- A passion for food and the culinary arts.
- Experience multi-tasking and working in an environment with rigorous standards.
**Salary**: From ₹25,000.00 per month
