PLC Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for automated industrial processes using programmable logic controllers (PLCs), which involves writing efficient logic code, integrating systems, and ensuring optimal machine performance by troubleshooting issues, implementing system improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance automation efficiency across manufacturing or other industrial environments. Key responsibilities of a PLC Programmer: PLC program development: Writing and testing PLC code to control machinery and processes based on project requirements, including creating logical sequences for efficient and safe operations. System design: Designing control system architecture, selecting appropriate hardware components, and configuring PLC parameters. Hardware integration: Connecting sensors, actuators, and other peripherals to the PLC system. Troubleshooting and maintenance: Diagnosing faults within PLC programs, identifying hardware issues, and implementing corrective actions to maintain system uptime. Documentation: Creating detailed technical documentation for PLC programs, including logic diagrams, system layouts, and user manuals. Commissioning and startup: Testing and validating PLC programs on-site, including parameter tuning and system calibration. Collaboration with engineering teams: Working with electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of automation systems. Required skills for a PLC Programmer: Proficiency in PLC programming languages: In-depth knowledge of ladder logic, structured text, function block diagrams, and other PLC programming languages depending on the manufacturer. Electrical and electronic fundamentals: Understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and industrial sensors. Mechanical knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical systems and their integration with PLC control systems. Problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex system issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. Technical documentation skills: Creating clear and accurate technical documentation to support system maintenance and troubleshooting. Communication skills: Effective communication with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and convey technical information. Typical industries where PLC programmers are employed: Manufacturing, Automotive, Food and beverage, Chemical processing, Pharmaceutical, and Power generation.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
