Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior PLC Programmer with strong expertise in Siemens TIA Portal for programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting automation systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PLC, HMI, and VFD integration, Servo Systems and a solid understanding of industrial communication (Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA) for large-scale automation and machine control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and program Siemens PLCs (S7-1200, S using TIA Portal.
  • Configure and program Siemens HMIs (KTP/TP/Comfort panels) and interface them with PLCs.
  • Develop control logic, safety interlocks, and sequence programming for ASRS, DWS, conveyor systems, and custom machines.
  • Integrate PLCs with VFDs, servo drives, and sensors.
  • Work on industrial networks including Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, and Ethernet/IP.
  • Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ensure end-to-end machine validation.
  • Document I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and PLC programs as per internal standards.
  • Support integration of PLC systems with SCADA, WMS, or cloud-based monitoring platforms.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior PLC programmers.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Siemens TIA Portal (V16–V19)
  • Deep understanding of S7-1200, S7-1500, ET200 modules
  • Experience in WinCC HMI configuration
  • Familiar with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP)
  • Knowledge of VFDs and servo drive parameterization (Siemens, Delta, Schneider, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, panel testing, and field commissioning
  • Experience with troubleshooting I/O, field devices, and control logic
  • Bonus: experience linking PLC data to backend servers (e.g., via MQTT / REST API / Node-RED)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Siemens PLC programming and commissioning
  • Exposure to warehouse automation systems, conveyors, or special-purpose machines
  • Understanding of control panel design and layout
  • Familiarity with IoT integration will be an advantage
