JOB DESCRIPTION FOR COUNSELLOR

Counsellor Qualifications:

- Should be a graduate in any discipline preferably a design graduate with pleasing personality and have good communication & presentation skills.
- Must have a strong command over English, Hindi/Local languages
- Knowledge of different competitors and their products and services along with fee and discount schemes.

Key Responsibilities
- Acquire thorough knowledge and understanding of available courses, admission policies and other rules and regulations of the company
- Handle enquiries, reception duties and attend to phone calls.
- Shall maintain records of the enquiry generation, conversion rates etc. in specified formats and report to appropriate authority as and when required
- Distribute admission forms/ information brochures.
- Coordinate with the center manager and the admission section.
- Coordinate in fee deposition/ refund process.
- Shall make a close rapport with the principals/ students of prestigious/ good schools to organize career counselling seminars/ sample classes etc.
- Shall arrange seminars at the center/ other suitable places, for career guidance to the students in coordination with the center manager and the admission coordinator.
- Shall create a students’ database in order to interact with them through periodic mailers and updated information of various courses.
- Shall carry out any other task as may be assigned to him/her from time to time.

Attributes of a Good Counsellor
- Should maintain a cool composure all the while.
- Comfort the students and visitors by offering them a seat, water & tea/coffee.
- Should be able to identify the student’s need and guide him/her accordingly.
- Maintain an order at the counselling table/room.
- Not to talk ill of other institutes nor engage in any kind of argument related to competitors
- Project a positive image of our center in and outside.
- Should be able to provide correct information about the courses.
- The counsellor should always highlight strong points of the institute and convert the competitor’s weak points tactfully to the advantage of the institute.
- Should be able to talk effectively about our own results, unique positive features like its teaching methodology, study material, placement, study tours etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
