Website Designer

Role Summary:

Website Designer Intern will be responsible for creating the design and layout of a website or web pages. You tend to focus on the visual aspects of a site, such as its layout and its usability.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Responsible for planning, designing and developing websites using Wix/Figma/Big-Commerce, etc.
- Need to create custom designs for websites for our clients using Wix/Figma/ Big-Commerce, etc.
- Test the websites thoroughly before delivering.
- Learn new tools for web development like x editor, etc
- Learn SEO best practices and implement that for on page SEO
- Take free training on SEO.
- Participate in client meetings as needed.
- Build ability to develop 4-6 websites in a month
- Provide estimates for work to be done for new proposals.
- Work with your lead on a weekly basis to define the work that needs to be accomplished for the week with good quality of delivery.
- Submit a weekly status report to the lead.
- Requirements:

- Knowledge of designing website using Wix/Squarespace/WordPress/Shopify etc.
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- Creative and open to new ideas.
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Good understanding of content management systems.
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
- Proficiency in JavaScript.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Education:

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
