**Position Title**: Primary Years Program (PYP) Teacher - French Language Specialist

**Responsibilities**:
**Curriculum Delivery**:Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in French language that align with the IB PYP curriculum.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

**Language Proficiency**:Foster an immersive French language environment to enhance students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Provide differentiated instruction to support both native French speakers and students learning French as a foreign language.

**Assessment and Evaluation**:Design and administer formative and summative assessments to measure student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate feedback to students, parents, and administrators.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate with other PYP teachers to ensure a holistic and transdisciplinary approach to learning.
Participate in department meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and professional development activities.

**Classroom Management**:Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, cooperation, and respect for cultural diversity.
Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.

**Professional Development**:Stay updated with current trends and best practices in IB education and language instruction.

**Parent Communication**:Maintain open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress and curriculum content.

**Qualifications**:

- **A diploma or degree in French language education or a related field.**:

- **Previous experience teaching French language within the IB PYP framework is highly preferred.**:

- **Familiarity with the philosophy and principles of the IB PYP curriculum**.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
