**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**1) Donor Management**

a) Assist in donor motivation activities

b) Assist in donor room activities including assisting apheresis procedure

c) Identifies and communicates abnormal test reports by alerting supervisory personnel and safe disposal of TTI reactive units as per BMW regulation

**2) Testing**

a) Understand blood bank methods, demonstrates knowledge of testing processes with include donor screening, donor grouping, IH testing, TTI screening

b) Organize work by matching blood request with test tube labeling; sorting samples; checking labeling; logging samples; cross matching and reserving units ready for issue, keep work surface clean and orderly

**3) Component Management**

a) Perform blood components separation, labeling, quality control of blood components procedure

**4) Administrative/ program management / regulatory aspects**

a) Perform duties as assigned by the BB MO

b) All activities and records to be maintained as per relevant SOP and D&C act

c) Document all the necessary information in the required blood bank record in the respective area

d) Assist staff nurse and MO in preparation of reports

e) Maintains donor/ patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential

**5) QMS/QA**

a) Assist in preparation of SOPs

b) Maintain quality result by running standards and control, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advance trouble shooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols

c) Perform and maintain records of QC procedures related to reagent kit and equipments

**6) Training**

a) Responsible for in house staff training

**7) Clinical Service**

a) Ensure the issue of blood components/ units for patient care

**8) Biosafety and Infection Control**

a) Ensure universal precautions are followed strictly

b) Ensure infection control practices including BMW management

**EXPERIENCE**:Minimum 1 years
