1. Prepares the duty lists for the entire department including Sunday and holiday duties.

2. Checking attendance reports daily and reporting to person in-charge of attendance regarding duties etc.

3. Discards sero-positive bags and outdated bags and maintains a register for the same.

4. Prepares the regular store indents for consumables, kits and stationary and purchase orders for required items every 6 months.

5. Maintains the stock of all consummable items so as to ensure timely indents.

6. Handles all refunds of extra cross matches or other extra charges which are charged to patient accounts.

7. Checks for completeness of record entries in the donor book.

8. Maintains records of transfusion reaction investigation and antibody problem cases.

9. Does all table work like grouping, crossmatching, western blot, markers etc. as and when necessary.

10. Screens donors and sends for the pheresis profile.

11. Performs the pheresis procedure on the required donor.

12. Performs the pheresis procedure on the required patient.

13. Corresponds with the F.D.A when necessary.

14. Issues voluntary donor cards.

15. Checks the entries in the blood stock register.

16. Supervises all procedures by the staff.

17. Supervises and ensures that the cold room is clean.

18. Supervises all cleaning that is carried out in the department.

19. Co-ordinates for the equipment maintenance and repair.

20. Assigns staff for double duty or overtime.

21. Calls labor office in case of sweeper absenteeism.

22. Makes visits to the F.D.A.

23. Monitors the quality control tests i.e. cultures and other tests done in the lab.

24. Maintains records of therapeutic phlebotomies and antologous transfusion.

25. Condemns all items and equipments when necessary.

26. Evaluates and recommends for purchase all new kits and equipment.

27. Does the AntiSera evaluation of titre, specificity and avidity.

28. Prepares monthly reports on the daily workload in the department.

29. Accepts the returned blood bags from the T.O.T everyday.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
