**Job Title: MS SQL Database Administrator (Junior DBA)**

**Location**: Chennai/Vijayawada
**Experience**: 1-3 Years
**Employment Type**: Full-time
**Work Mode**: Onsite

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (2012/2016/2019 and above).
- Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
- Manage database security including roles, permissions, and authentication.
- Write and optimize T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- Perform database tuning and optimization using Performance Monitor and SQL Profiler.
- Implement and monitor maintenance plans, index management, and statistics updates.
- Assist in database design, development, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues such as deadlocks, blocking, and connection problems.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server administration.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of database backups, restores, recovery models, and replication.
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and other monitoring tools.
- Good knowledge of database security, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) options.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.
- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server (e.g., MCSA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation tools is a plus.
