**What You’ll Achieve**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.

Database Management**: Create, configure, and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and performance.
- ** High Availability & Disaster Recovery**: Implement and maintain high availability (HA) setups and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including failover management, replication (streaming/logical), and backup strategies.
- ** Performance Monitoring & Optimization**: Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and fine-tune configurations using native and third-party tools for both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- ** Automation & Scripting**: Automate routine tasks such as backups, database health checks, and maintenance using scripting languages such as Shell Scripts, Python, DOS, and PowerShell.
- ** Capacity Planning**: Plan for database growth, including storage, memory, and load balancing for optimal performance in both Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
- ** Database Upgrades & Version Updates**: Ensure smooth and secure database version upgrades and patching in both Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
- ** Database Security**: Implement and maintain database security best practices for both Oracle and PostgreSQL, including user access control, encryption, and vulnerability patching.
- ** Backup & Recovery**: Plan and implement effective backup strategies for both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data protection and integrity.
- ** Cloud & Multi-Tenant Environments**: Administer databases in cloud environments (such as Azure, AWS) with experience in multi-tenant architecture, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- ** Third-Party Monitoring Tools**: Integrate with third-party monitoring systems like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch to track database performance and health.
- ** Collaboration & Support**: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth database operations, resolving issues, and providing database support for various projects.

**Essential Requirements**:

Database Expertise**: Proficiency in the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- ** HA & DR**: Hands-on experience with high availability and disaster recovery configurations, including replication (streaming and logical), failover management, and backup strategies.
- ** Performance Tuning**:Expertise in database performance analysis, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- ** Automation**: Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, DOS, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks.
- ** Database Security**: Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices for both Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- ** Cloud Environments**: Experience working with cloud-based databases and multi-tenant architectures.
- ** Operating Systems**: Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems in managing databases.
- ** Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.

**Desirable Requirements**:

Cloud Platforms**: Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, particularly with managed database services.
- ** Integration Tools**: Familiarity with integrating databases with third-party tools like Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch for performance monitoring.
- ** Disaster Recovery Planning**: Experience in planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
- ** Version Control**: Experience with database versioning and updates in high-availability architectures.
- ** Knowledge of Connection Poolers**: Experience with connection poolers like pgPool and pgBouncer for PostgreSQL.
- ** Cross-Platform Experience**: Experience managing databases across both Oracle and PostgreSQL in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
