URGENT OPENING for Research Chemist / Senior Research Chemist, Medicinal Chemistry

Location - Manesar, Gurgaon.

Exp. 1 yr. min.

**Summary & Scope of Position**:
Performs a variety of laboratory experiments using established synthetic methods and

techniques under general guidance of project leaders in the medicinal chemistry group. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and performs a variety of tasks. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity is expected. Scope includes compound discovery and development and synthetic/manufacturing process improvements. Can train and supervise scientific personnel

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Performing multi-step synthesis of the target molecules or intermediates.
- Designing of synthetic routes for target molecules using newer and innovative synthetic methodologies
- Purification of compounds, e.g. via chromatography, crystallization etc.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements
- High quality scientific reading/writing
- Characterization of compounds/intermediates using spectral techniques such as, NMR, MS, IR, HPLC etc.
- Literature search through Scifinder
- User experience with ChemDraw, ISIS draw, MS Office.
- Documenting experiments in LNB and maintain the data.
- Maintenance and protection of intellectual property (Research schemes, journals, analytical data, material/product safety data sheets etc.)
- Participating as appropriate in the human resources activities of the department (staffing, training, performance management, and employee development).

**Qualifications/Requirements/Skills**:

- PhD/M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry with 1-3 years relevant, hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly and to adapt to changing priorities.

**Salary**: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
