**Roles and Responsibilities**

1.New & Existing Product Development

a.Developing formulations of Personal Care (Skin and Hair care).

b.Optimize formulations to meet cost objectives and to manage availability of raw materials.

c.Prepare research proposals including analytical, technical and financial data for developing and testing new or improved products.

d.Perform customer focused formulation work based on business request. Create solutions through creativity and resourcefulness.

e.Reformulate and resubmit based on feedback.

f.Stability testing and record result

h.Develop technical methodologies and out of the box thinking for illustrating proof of concept. Execute project commitments and pursue contingency plans.

2.Lab Management

a.Develop detailed lab scale process for success. This includes order of addition, critical raw materials and processing parameters and benchmark, and lab scale preliminary specification and test results.

b.Manage daily laboratory operations and schedule as per industry standards on scientific significance, accuracy, safety and record keeping.

c.Test substances for composition, properties, structures and reactions.

d.Identify testing abnormalities and execute corrective actions

3.Compliance

a.Review regulatory standard for compliance of manufacturing, selling of personal care products for both India and as per the vendor requirement.

b.Basic understanding of R&D compliance
- GMP, GLP, GDP, etc as per Industry standards.

4.Research Work

a.Review competitive products and trade publications and prepare reports on comparative tests, raw material information, and educational scopes.

b.Keep knowledge up to date of the existing market trend of the products/innovations along with the new launches.
