**Summary**:
Under general supervision, the Associate Consultant, Credit Analysis is responsible for underwriting and evaluating credit requests including personal, commercial, not for profit, and real estate. Partners with bankers and relationship managers in underwriting and preparing loan memoranda for new loans, renewals, restructures, reviews and amendments within policy guidelines. Research and analyze pertinent financial statements of individuals, businesses, and other entities.

**Major Duties**:

- Review individuals/entities' financials/annual reports and other supporting financial data to accurately prepare spreads in Moody's Credit Lens (MCL).
- Analyze the individuals/entities' financials/annual reports, quarterly statements, tax returns and other supporting financial data to determine their financial position and creditworthiness.
- Perform credit analysis of large or key clients that require thorough understanding of credit.
- Evaluate and underwrite credit requests across disciplines including personal, commercial, not for profit and commercial real estate.
- Partner with Bankers, Relationship Managers and other internal clients through financial/credit analysis and identification of risk factors. Adds value to ultimate client relationship by providing timely response and quality underwriting in coordination with client needs.
- Perform quality check of the spreads / reports completed by the junior analysts and ensure they are as per the guidelines.
- Leverage his or her experience to suggest and implement process improvements.
- Work on special projects and other projects as identified by the division management.
- Perform complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.

**Knowledge/Skills**:

- Significant Knowledge of U.S. finance and accounting usually acquired through formal education and appropriate experience required to analyze and evaluate financial statements.
- Knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations required to review operational, credit and business risk.
- Analytical and communication skills (verbal and written) are required to analyze entities' operating performance and prepare presentations.
- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work independently.

**Experience Required**: 4-6 years of banking or other financial/credit analysis related experience.
