**Job Summary**:
The Financial Accounting Manager will oversee and manage Ozarké's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with financial regulations, and optimization of accounting processes. This role will work closely with our leadership team to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and drive growth. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a fast-growing, forward-thinking team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct variance analyses and develop insights to guide business decisions.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- **Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Work with the leadership team to develop budgets and monitor financial performance.
- **Compliance & Controls**:

- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
- **Audit & Tax**:

- Coordinate and manage external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responses.
- Oversee tax compliance, including preparation and filing of state and federal returns.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Identify and implement best practices to streamline and enhance accounting processes.
- Utilize financial software effectively and recommend system improvements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
