Brewery Assistant

Job Title: Assistant Brewer

Reports to: Head Brewer/Brewery Manager

Department: Brewing

Job Summary:
The Assistant Brewer assists the Head Brewer in the daily operations of the brewery, ensuring the production of high-quality beer while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Brewing Operations:
1. Assist in brewing, fermentation, and conditioning processes.

2. Monitor and control brewing parameters (temperature, pH, gravity).

3. Maintain accurate records of brewing activities.

4. Participate in yeast management and operations.

5. Assist with filtering, and carbonation.

2. Monitor and maintain temperatures and conditions.

Cleaning and Sanitation:
1. Clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and facilities.

2. Maintain a clean and organized brewhouse.

Quality Control:
1. Participate in sensory evaluations and quality control checks.

2. Monitor beer quality and report any issues.

Maintenance and Safety:
1. Perform routine maintenance on brewing equipment.

2. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

3. Identify and report potential safety hazards.

Other Responsibilities:
1. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.

2. Participate in brewery events and promotions.

3. Collaborate with other departments.

**Requirements**:

- 1+ year of brewing experience (commercial or homebrew).
- Basic knowledge of brewing principles, ingredients, and processes.
- Physical ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in brewing, science, or related field preferred.
