Impel Ferrocast is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced First Stage Quality Inspector with expertise in Cast Iron (CI) and Spheroidal Graphite (SG) foundry operations to join our team. The First Stage Quality Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our castings during the initial stages of production.

*Responsibilities:*

1. *Incoming Inspection:* Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, including iron alloys, additives, and fluxes, to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards before use in production.

2. *Mold Inspection:* Inspect molds and core boxes for defects, ensuring proper assembly and alignment. Verify that mold coatings and release agents are applied correctly to prevent defects in castings.

3. *Pattern Inspection:* Verify the accuracy and integrity of patterns used in the molding process. Check for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and any signs of wear or damage.

4. *Core Inspection:* Inspect cores for defects, ensuring proper assembly and placement within molds. Verify core dimensions, surface finish, and integrity to prevent defects in castings.

5. *Quality Control:* Perform visual and dimensional inspections of castings during the molding and coremaking processes to identify any defects, such as surface imperfections, dimensional inaccuracies, or core shift.

6. *Documentation and Reporting:* Document inspection results, observations, and findings accurately and thoroughly. Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate any deviations or non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.

7. *Root Cause Analysis:* Collaborate with production teams to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Provide feedback to improve process controls and prevent defects.

8. *Quality Assurance:* Ensure compliance with quality management systems and procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of quality control processes.

9. *Safety and Compliance:* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry standards.

*Requirements:*

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality inspection is preferred.

2. Proven experience working as a quality inspector in a foundry environment, with expertise in Cast Iron (CI) and Spheroidal Graphite (SG) materials.

3. Strong understanding of foundry processes, including molding, coremaking, and casting.

4. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and interpreting specifications.

5. Experience with precision measuring instruments and metrology techniques.

6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.

7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

9. Familiarity with quality management systems and quality assurance principles.

Pay: Up to ₹23,000.00 per month
