- **Inspection and Testing**: Performing visual and measurement tests on products and materials using various tools and equipment.
- **Defect Identification**: Identifying and documenting any defects or deviations from specifications.
- **Compliance**: Ensuring products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality standards.
- **Process Monitoring**: Monitoring production processes to ensure they meet quality standards.
- **Documentation**: Maintaining accurate records of inspection results and reporting on quality issues.
- **Collaboration**: Working with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identifying opportunities to improve quality processes and procedures.

Education and Experience:

- While a high school diploma or equivalent may be sufficient for some entry-level positions, many companies prefer or require a bachelor's degree, especially in industries with complex products or processes.
- Experience as a quality control inspector or in a related field is often preferred.
- Relevant certifications may also be beneficial.

Career Progression:

- Quality inspectors may progress to senior or lead inspector roles, overseeing inspection processes and mentoring junior inspectors.
- They may also move into quality assurance roles, developing quality assurance strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations.
