Structured hybrid role:
Introduction:
This role is responsible for financial control and regulatory reporting of financial information to the RBI for the India Bank Branch. This role requires an individual to correctly interpret regulatory guidelines and accounting standard to ensure that Bank is compliant with all guidelines when reporting financial information to the regulator. This role also requires appropriate oversight on the team managing the reporting to ensure all submissions are managed on a timely basis. In addition this role would require face off with the regulator as and when queries are raised or inspection is conducted.

What will you be doing?

Financial and Regulatory Reporting - 70%

Competency Level: Advanced
- To be able to review of all regulatory returns produced for the RBI by the team
- Review and challenge of the data and supplementary analysis submitted by different teams;
- Liaison with external statutory and regulatory, concurrent and internal auditors to ensure clean and seamless audits
- Monitoring and review of the risk and controls framework for Financial Control function including documentation of these controls and to ensure the controls are operating effectively
- Responding to ad-hoc information requests from RBI and other regulators
- Review and analyse the impact of new regulatory returns for financial regulatory reporting area

Staff management and team building - 25%
Competency Level: Advanced
- Management of a team of people involved in regulatory reporting
- Act as a coach and mentor for more junior staff.
- Prioritisation of the team's workload;
- Conduct performance appraisals at the half year and year end

Internal Reporting - 5%
Competency Level: Advanced
- Preparation of the monthly reporting packs for senior management;

What we’re looking for:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Good understanding of RBI regulations around BASEL III, Capital Adequacy norms, ALM norm, Treasury returns.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Good understanding over Internal financial control impacting the regulatory returns.
- Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution.
