**Title**:
Principal Advisor - Energy Transition

Reporting to the Operations Director, the individual will work within the Global Energy Transition Advisory team, in close collaboration with the organisations’s vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. Functional job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Lead client engagements across project lifecycle.

Manage client / external stakeholder relationships (including government authorities and regulatory agencies).

Originate projects to grow advisory business portfolio.

Coordinate resources and expertise with other offices and business units world-wide to deliver leading-edge solutions and excellent techno-commercial outcomes.

Support Director and other Principals to develop creative advisory solutions tailored to client’s bespoke requirements in the areas of strategy, sustainability and transaction advisory.

Coach and mentor junior team members to continuously improve quality of delivery.

Provide inputs and support for strategic market communications.

Actively engage industry networks to stay abreast of latest developments and innovations.

Represent the organisation at public / industry functions and conferences to uphold and enhance the organization’s brand especially in EMEA/ Americas.

Renewable energy, Decarbonized hydrogen, hydrogen carriers, biofuels/e-fuels, waste-to-X, circular economy, carbon abatement and management (including but not limited CCS/CCUS). Heavy end-users of energy, including (but not limited) to industrial, manufacturing, technology providers, data center operators Regulations and policy across the region. Cross-sector understanding of decarbonization policies in particular for heavy producers and/or end-users or of energy would be key capabilities and depth of knowledge sought.

Requirements/Qualifications

Degree in Engineering and/or Science, with additional qualifications in Business or Economics (MBA can be an advantage).

Must have significant level of previous Energy/related industry experience with reasonable amount of career spent specific to corporate energy transition work, energy policy and regulations and/or energy transition financing work.

Experience with advisory consulting firms with demonstrated capability to grow advisory business will be an advantage.

Proven capability in delivering high-end Advisory projects and managing key stakeholders is essential.

Exposure and hands-on delivery capability for Transaction due diligence and investment business cases

Experience in working at executive / C suite / C-1 where negotiating G2G / G2B business opportunities.

Experience and understanding developing and implementing energy transition strategy.

Strong understanding of Energy Transition technical concepts and commercial feasibility.

Familiarity with broad ESG ecosystem, including local and international carbon markets, rules and regulations.

Demonstrate business acumen (ability to grasp commercial feasibility of proposals) and financial literacy (ability to understand basic financial concepts and evaluation methods)

Ability to work collaboratively with direct team members, as well as broader colleagues.
