**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design, install, configure, and maintain relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle).
- Monitor database performance and implement optimization techniques.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery procedures.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools.
- Collaborate with development teams for database design and query optimization.
- Manage users, roles, and permissions.
- Handle database migrations and upgrades.
- Create and maintain documentation on database processes and configurations.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide on-call support as needed.

**Requirements**:
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
- Expertise in at least one major RDBMS: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Experience with backup and recovery tools (e.g., RMAN, pg_dump, mysqldump).
- Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Experience with high-availability setups and replication.
- Understanding of data modeling and schema design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

**Nice to Have**:

- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) related to data handling.
