**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Record Maintenance**: Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of patient medical records in both physical and electronic formats.
- **Data Entry**: Perform data entry tasks, including updating patient information, diagnostic codes, and treatment details.
- **Confidentiality**: Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and regulations in handling sensitive patient information.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with medical and administrative staff to facilitate the timely and accurate exchange of patient information.
- **Records Retrieval**: Assist in the retrieval of medical records for healthcare providers, administrators, and authorized personnel.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Health Information Technology is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Medical Records Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, diagnostic codes, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

**Preferred**:

- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT.
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment.
