**Objective**

To manage the school library efficiently by promoting a reading culture, supporting students and teachers with relevant resources, and fostering research skills to enhance academic learning and personal development.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Library Management & Administration**
- Maintain and organize the library’s collection of books, periodicals, digital resources, and reference materials.
- Develop and implement policies for efficient library functioning, including cataloging, issuing, and returning books.
- Maintain the library inventory by conducting regular audits and keeping the database up to date.
- Manage the library budget, coordinate book purchases, and liaise with vendors for acquiring new resources.

**2. Supporting Students & Teachers**
- Assist students and faculty in locating and using library resources effectively.
- Collaborate with teachers to provide relevant materials for projects, assignments, and academic activities.
- Design and conduct orientation programs on how to use the library resources and research tools.
- Provide research support and develop students' information literacy and critical thinking skills.

**3. Promoting Reading & Learning Initiatives**
- Organize book fairs, reading competitions, and literary activities to foster a love for reading.
- Curate age-appropriate reading lists and recommend books to students and teachers.
- Introduce students to online resources and encourage responsible digital literacy practices.

**4. Technology Integration & Digital Resources**
- Manage online databases and digital platforms for e-books, audiobooks, and research tools.
- Stay updated on new educational technologies and recommend digital resources for the library.
- Maintain the library’s presence on the school’s website and ensure students are familiar with online access.

**5. Learning Environment Management**
- Maintain a quiet, organized, and welcoming environment conducive to reading and study.
- Enforce library rules and ensure students use the space productively.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science or related field.
- Experience:

- Prior experience in a school or academic library is preferred.
- Familiarity with library management systems and software.
- Key Skills:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
- Proficiency in using digital resources and technology tools.
- Ability to foster a love for reading and promote independent learning.

**Work Environment & Expectations**
- Ability to manage a dynamic learning environment with both print and digital resources.
- Willingness to conduct library activities beyond school hours (such as book fairs and clubs).
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with trends in education and library management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
