The School Librarian manages the school’s library and media center, supports literacy and research instruction, and helps integrate information and digital literacy into the curriculum. The librarian fosters a love of reading while providing access to a broad range of physical and digital resources that support student learning and teacher instruction.
**Library Management & Operations**:

- Organize, maintain, and update the school library collection.
- Select, acquire, catalog, and weed materials to ensure relevance and diversity.
- Manage circulation, shelving, and inventory of books and media.
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive library environment.

**Instructional Support**:

- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans.
- Teach students how to locate, evaluate, and use information ethically.
- Deliver instruction in research skills, digital citizenship, and media literacy.
- Promote reading for pleasure and academic growth across grade levels.

**Technology Integration**:

- Support student and staff use of educational technology and online resources.
- Manage digital databases, eBooks, and library management systems.
- Provide tech support for library-related devices and platforms.

**Programming & Engagement**:

- Plan and host reading programs, book fairs, author visits, and library events.
- Encourage student participation in reading challenges and clubs.
- Promote inclusivity through diverse reading materials and displays.

**Collaboration & Leadership**:

- Serve on curriculum or literacy committees.
- Provide professional development or resource support to staff.
- Advocate for library services and contribute to school improvement goals.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field;
Master’s Degree in Library Science or School Library Media (MLIS/MLS) preferred or required based on district/state.
- **Certification**: Valid [state] certification as a School Librarian or Library Media Specialist.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a school or youth-oriented library preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
