**Job Purpose**:

- To support the research, development, and quality assurance of a leading chemical manufacturing company specializing in eco-friendly floor cleaning solutions, industrial disinfectants, surface sanitizers, and hygiene products. The Chemist will be responsible for ensuring product consistency, safety, and performance through lab-based testing, formulation, and regulatory compliance.

**Formulation & Product Development**:

- Develop, modify, and optimize formulations for cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and surface care products
- Conduct lab-scale trials for new product development and ensure formulation scalability for production
- Evaluate raw materials and suggest substitutions or improvements for better cost and performance

**Quality Control & Testing**:

- Test raw materials, in-process batches, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Analyze physical and chemical properties such as pH, viscosity, specific gravity, active content, etc.
- Maintain detailed documentation of QC reports, batch sheets, and lab notebooks

**Inventory & Lab Operations**:

- Manage lab inventory, reagents, glassware, and instruments
- Ensure accurate lab records, labeling, and sample storage

**Compliance & Safety**:

- Ensure all formulations and lab activities comply with chemical safety standards (OSHA, GHS, MSDS)
- Maintain records for hazardous material handling and follow SOPs for safe chemical storage and disposal
- Participate in safety training, audits, and inspections

**Cross-functional Collaboration**:

- Work closely with production, packaging, and procurement teams to resolve formulation or quality issues
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting production deviations
- Assist in developing technical data sheets and training documents for new products

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related field
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in a chemical formulation or manufacturing lab
- Proficient in wet chemistry testing techniques and use of lab instruments
- Familiarity with formulation and quality control of cleaning agents and disinfectants
- Strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and adherence to safety procedures

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
