**Job Summary**
**We are seeking an experienced Purchasing officer to handle our company's procurement activities. The Purchasing Manager's responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.**

**Years of Experience: 5 to 8 Years.**

**Qualification**:
**Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.**
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Lead and manage a team of 8 members in the Purchase, and Stores department. - Oversee the vendor management process, including selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
- Develop new vendor sources to ensure a reliable supply chain for machine parts and materials.
- Conduct cost analysis and negotiations with vendors to achieve cost reductions while maintaining quality and timely delivery.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing process and costs involved in producing machine parts.
- Utilize ERP systems for efficient management of the Bill of Materials (BOM), inventory, and procurement processes.

- Ensure quality control measures are implemented, reducing the need for rework and ensuring parts meet our standards upon receipt
- Identify alternative methods and parts to prevent production stoppages.
- Coordinate with the Production and Quality Control departments to ensure seamless movement of parts into production
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and prevent overstocking or stockouts. - Develop and implement processes and formats for efficient procurement and store management.

Skills:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role within the purchase and stores function, preferably in the machinery manufacturing or related industry
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and proficiency in maintaining BOM and inventory management.
- Expertise in vendor management, negotiation, and procurement processes. - Solid understanding of the manufacturing process, including cost analysis and quality control measures.
- Knowledge of electrical parts and components used in machinery manufacturing
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure production timelines are met.
- Understand the manufacturing process and cost components to negotiate effectively with vendors and achieve cost reductions without compromising quality
