Riverpoint Solutions is a food manufacturing company headquartered in Chennai and has a production facility in Krishnagiri. The company has multiple brands including the “N” Brand for Bakery, Cakes, Confectionaries, and millet-based savouries and short eats under the brand “Millet magic” and other various short eats under “HaaHaar”. The company currently supplies its products through distributors and supermarkets in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

It also engages in customized contract-based food manufacturing to various major brands in FMCG and Food Supply companies such as Nilgiris, Reliance and other upcoming QSR and Food brands. With a strong pipeline of innovative food product portfolio in bakery and short eats company is planning to scale its production.

**Role Summary for a Procurement and Quality Controller**

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Assist the Plant head in planning the procurement of various raw materials according to the planned schedule.
- Develop and execute quality control mechanisms for raw materials and finished goods
- Participate in negotiating prices & credit terms and exercise commercial acumen in tandem by ensuring quality of the products
- Assist the plant head in maintaining the reorder level of all ingredients.
- Onboarding and managing relationships with existing and new vendors and suppliers
- Identify the ingredient suppliers and in ordering food ingredients that are in line with product specifications.
- Participate in all stock inventories on a daily basis.
- Check all the Bakery end products and see if they are meeting the required size and weight and sufficiency of packing.
- Maintain vendor database, quality records and detailed food specifications documents for current and future recipes.
- Assist the Plant Manager in developing standard recipes and techniques for goods preparation and presentation. Help assure consistency, high quality and manage food cost down to component level.
- Manage and maintain standard work practices and standard operating practices for all the products.
- Liaise with Plant Manager & Sales Manager on customer satisfaction to enable continuous improvement.
- Interact in a positive manner with employees and managers in other departments ensuring inter-departmental communication is maintained at all times.
- Manage and check if all HACCP requirements are in line with company procedures.
- Adhere to government/statutory regulations as well as our standards and company policies and procedures or as stipulated by contract customers.
- Ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action in the storage of all raw materials.

**Position Type and Expected Hours of Work**
- Timings: 9 AM to 7 PM, One day holiday during the week
- Location: Krishnagiri

**Required Education and Experience**
- 5+years’ experience in the Bakery, confectionery, and Savouries industry in the Quality and Stores department is an added advantage
- Bachelors in food technology or equivalent in the relevant industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of food procurement, human resources and Food related laws and regulations, and employee relations skills
- Dependable and reliable
- Bookkeeping knowledge necessary
