Job Description

Qualification:

- A Ph.D in Drug Design, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology or a closely related ffield is required.
- Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.

Required Experience:

- Experience : A demonstrated track record of research excellence and the potential to secure funding. Teaching experaience at the university level (3-4 years) is preferred.
- Publications: A solid publication record in high-impact journals within the field.
- Research Grants: Individuals with record of funding received from govt agencies would be preferred.

**Job Description**:
Research
- Develop and lead an independent, externally funded research projects/programs in drug design and discovery.
- Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with other faculty members, research institutions and industry partners on interdisciplinary projects.
- Supervise and mentor postgraduate students, PhD fellows and research staff.

Teaching
- Teach postgraduate courses in drug design, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology and related areas.
- Develop new courses and curricula that reflect the latest advances in the field.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including supervising student research projects and theses.

Collaboration, Outreach and Administration
- Participate in departmental, institute, and university committees and activities.
- Engage in outreach activities to promote the department's mission and enhance its visibility.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and strategies.

Key Skills
- Strong background in computational drug design, structure-based drug design or cheminformatics.
- Proficiency in modern laboratory techniques and tools used in drug discovery.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
