**Job Title: Education Counselor**

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to guide students in academic planning, career exploration, and personal development.
- Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and programs based on their academic abilities, career interests, and goals.
- Evaluate students' strengths, weaknesses, and personal aspirations through one-on-one meetings and assessments.
- Develop and implement guidance programs to support student success, including workshops on study skills, time management, and career readiness.
- Provide advice on college/university admissions, scholarships, and standardized testing requirements.
- Maintain accurate student records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Act as a liaison between students, parents, and educational institutions, providing feedback and updates on student progress.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, educational policies, and job market developments to provide informed guidance.
- Help students resolve academic, personal, or social challenges by offering appropriate interventions or referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Assist students in developing goals for their academic and career paths and help them create actionable plans for achieving those goals.
- Organize and lead career fairs, college visits, and other events to enhance students' understanding of educational and career opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in student counseling or educational guidance (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong understanding of academic programs, college admissions, career development, and financial aid processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and committed to student development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with student assessment tools and counseling techniques.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
