**Job Description: Medical Patient Counsellor**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Patient Counsellor to join our team. The primary responsibility will be to provide telephonic counseling and support to patients and their families. Needs to play a crucial role in guiding patients through their medical journey.

**Responsibilities**:
Conduct telephonic Pre-counselling sessions with patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and active listening skills.

Provide accurate and up-to-date information about medical conditions, treatment options, and procedures to collected from patients after call completion.

Assist patients in understanding their diagnosis, treatment plans, and potential side effects, while addressing their fears and concerns.

Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations.

Identify and escalate urgent or critical cases to the appropriate healthcare professionals promptly. Collaborate with suitable healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate a smooth counselling process further.

Offer emotional support to patients and their families, providing reassurance and encouragement during difficult times.

Conduct follow-up calls with patients to monitor their progress, answer any questions, and provide additional guidance if needed.

Stay updated with patients’ medical advancements, treatment options, and patient support resources to enhance counselling effectiveness.

**Patient Counselling**: Provide compassionate and accurate telephonic counselling to patients and families, addressing their concerns and ensuring a positive patient experience.

**Communication and Documentation**: Maintain clear and comprehensive records of patient interactions, ensuring effective communication with healthcare professionals and adherence to data protection policies.

**Collaboration**: Foster effective collaboration with healthcare professionals (HCG), and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless patient care and support.

**Emotional Support**: Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, promoting their well-being throughout their medical journey.

**Knowledge Enhancement**: Continuously update knowledge of medical advancements, treatment options, and patient support resources to enhance counseling effectiveness.

**Required Qualifications**:
**Academic Qualification**:
Bachelor's degree in clinical Psychology, Counselling, b-Pharma ,Social Work, or a related field.

**Prior Experience**:
At least 1-2 years of experience in counselling or patient support, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Experience in dealing with diverse patient populations and a variety of medical conditions.

Familiarity with the Indian healthcare system and understanding of cultural sensitivities.
