Fundraising Coordinator

A Fundraising Officer focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and individual philanthropic donors plays a key role in securing funds, building relationships, and creating impactful campaigns to support an organization’s mission. Here’s an outline of the primary roles and responsibilities for this position:
**Job Roles & Responsibilities**

1. Fundraising Strategy Development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting both CSR funds and individual philanthropic donors.
- Set clear, measurable goals for funding, donor engagement, and campaign outcomes, aligning with organizational needs.
- Analyze fundraising trends, identify high-potential donors, and strategize new ways to reach funding targets.

2. Donor Engagement and Relationship Building
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate CSR departments, UHNI and HNI individuals, and philanthropic groups.
- Regularly communicate with donors, providing updates on project impacts, sending personalized acknowledgments, and organizing exclusive events for engagement.
- Develop and manage a stewardship program to recognize donors and build long-term relationships.

3. Proposal Writing and Grant Applications
- Collaborate with program teams to gather project data and success metrics for effective storytelling and proposal development.
- Prepare project reports to keep CSR and individual donors informed on the impact of their contributions.

4. Campaign and Event Planning
- Plan and execute fundraising events and donor engagements such as gala dinners, panel discussions, and exclusive networking opportunities.
- Partner with marketing teams to develop CSR and donor-focused campaigns that highlight specific projects and funding needs.
- Track event success metrics and report findings to guide future fundraising efforts.

5. Corporate Partnerships and CSR Alignment
- Identify and pursue partnerships with companies whose CSR goals align with the organization’s mission.
- Work with corporate partners to develop tailored CSR initiatives and collaborative projects.
- Ensure that all CSR initiatives comply with industry standards, legal guidelines, and company policies.

6. Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain an organized donor database, tracking all contributions, communications, and engagement history.
- Generate regular reports on fundraising activities, including pipeline, forecasts, and donor engagement metrics.
- Use data insights to refine fundraising strategies and report on progress to senior leadership.

7. Public Relations and Brand Building
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create content that highlights the organization’s impact, projects, and success stories.
- Represent the organization at industry events, CSR forums, and public speaking opportunities to promote its mission.
- Build the organization's brand as a socially responsible entity, fostering a positive reputation among potential donors.

8. Research and Networking
- Conduct research on CSR trends, philanthropic interests, and high-impact areas to align fundraising efforts with market demands.
- Actively participate in networking events, donor forums, and CSR roundtables to connect with potential partners and donors.
- Keep up-to-date with CSR legislation, tax benefits, and industry best practices that can benefit potential donors.

9. Budgeting and Financial Management
- Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources for campaigns and events.
- Track and report on fundraising expenses, ensuring that financial targets and donor contributions are aligned with project costs.
- Work with finance teams to process donations, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and provide tax-related documentation for donors.

10. Ethics and Compliance
- Ensure all fundraising activities adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations regarding donation solicitation.
- Uphold the organization’s values in donor interactions, prioritizing transparency, honesty, and donor confidentiality.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion, protecting donor privacy and organizational data integrity.
