Program Coordinator Sustainability

**Job Summary**
A strong knowledge of the technical, economic, and political landscape and trends in India that
includes the roles of government, industry, and NGOs, and the opportunities they present for
IEEE in standards development and standards-related activities. Need to focus and work in the
area of Sustainability, Healthcare & life sciences
Productive relationships established with key governmental and industry stakeholders that
position the IEEE-SA as a standards leader in India. Increased global visibility of IEEE as an
international standards organization.
The position reports to the Administration Manager The role does not manage direct reports
but will lead cross-functional and collaborative efforts.

- Focus and Work in the area of sustainability, Healthcare & Life sciences. Collaborates with the IEEE SA to understand India-specific policies, procedures, opportunities, and challenges, including those related to intellectual property. having a 360 degree engagement with individual experts and entities within India in IEEE SA’s sustainability and Healthcare initiatives. This include working the corporates, research institutions, consortia/alliances, policy makers and regulatory bodies to individual experts to identify new initiatives and strengthen engagement in ongoing programs of the IEEE SA
- The Program coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating sustainability initiatives within the organization. This role involves identifying opportunities for sustainable practices, developing and implementing sustainability plans, monitoring progress, and reporting results to business leaders The program coordinator conducts research on sustainability best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Engagement with corporates in India to have a deeper understanding of sustainability initiatives in India Focus on developing/identifying new programs within IEEE SA: engaging experts and entities within India focused on sustainability including identifying experts to participate in IEEE SA’s global programs Identify key programs in area of sustainability focused around environment issues and climate change as a core focus area. Focus on all aspects of sustainability - environmental impact, social inclusion, climate change, supply chain etc.
- Supports IEEE SA visibility, marketing, and new business development initiatives in India
- Provides logístical support for IEEE SA activities in India and increases appropriate participation in IEEE SA seminars and workshops
- Attends local events and promotes IEEE SA activities.
- Communicates significant developments in assigned program areas to the IEEE SA and IEEE staff, members, and prospective members through the creation of reports and analysis for relevant internal and external strong focus to identify CSR initiatives in the area of sustainability and opportunity for IEEE India to engage in these initiatives as knowledge or implementation partner.
- Relationship Development and Support
- Works with the India Country Head, IEEE India office to build strong, positive, and productive relationships with key players in India's standards environments, including government bodies, industry and academia.
- Invites and coordinates the participation of local and international industry and individuals in standards-related activities and the full lifecycle of standards.
- Full life cycle development and support
- Collaborate also with IEEE volunteers within IEEE sections in India to strengthen the synergy between local initiatives aligned with the IEEE SA’s focus.
- Protects IEEE from liability by ensuring that IEEE processes are understood and are followed by those engaged in the IEEE standards programs; involves monitoring developments, researching any issues, and providing information about key issues to IEEESA management and staff
- Promotes the IEEE SA to Indian constituents and educates potential participants in IEEE standards usage and development, as well as on SA’s services and programs.
- Collaborate with IEEE SA program management staff to provide guidance and training to volunteers from India participating in IEEE SA programs and provide local support for IEEE SA initiative (working groups, pre-standards activities etc.)
- Guides and oversees progress, development, and collaboration with standards bodies in India (ex: Bureau of Indian Standards) and other consortia.
- Bring in new standards projects and business opportunities identify opportunities for training and skilling in the areas of sustainability, and healthcare.
