The Visual Design Center of Excellence (CoE) brings complex ideas and data to life through clear, compelling visual storytelling that enhances the quality and impact of client-facing deliverables. Staffed by experienced graphic designers who are not only experts in visual communication and brand alignment but also deeply passionate about design, the team partners closely with consultants to help them meet—and exceed—client expectations. By streamlining workflows, ensuring visual consistency, and working with speed and precision (even after hours), the CoE fills critical skill gaps, expands team capacity, and continuously improves Huron’s design through more efficient, high-quality execution.
The Visual Design Associate role is a part of our India-based Visual Design Center of Excellence. Individuals in this role will remotely support many critical Huron client engagements by helping to enhance and polish their client deliverables. This team’s responsibilities include creating new templates; creating custom graphics, infographics, icons, and images; creating or polishing presentations, and creating other deliverables to support client engagements.

Presentation Design and Visual Storytelling
- Design and develop visually dynamic presentations for client engagement executive presentations and internal presentations
- Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to understand key messages and translate them into engaging visual stories.
- Simplify content-heavy or data-driven slides into digestible, audience-ready formats.
- Leverage PowerPoint productivity tools (e.g., Think-Cell, PPT Productivity) to efficiently create and enhance presentations.

Graphic Design and Visual Asset Creation
- Design custom graphics, infographics, and data visualizations to clearly communicate complex concepts.
- Create new PowerPoint, Word, or Excel templates with colors and visual identity that meet client needs
- Support a variety of deliverables beyond presentations, including internal communications, marketing support, and client-facing digital media.
- Retouch imagery and prepare high-quality visual assets optimized for diverse formats and channels.
- Work with Marketing when additional icons, images, or other assets are needed

Project Management and Content Management
- Manage multiple design projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines, quality, and confidentiality requirements are met.
- Update project statuses within our workflow and project management tools and keep project teams updated on the status through written or verbal updates
- Maintain organized content libraries (templates, icons, images, layouts, graphics) to support consistency, reusability, and brand compliance.
- Delegate tasks to other team members, as needed

Visual Identity and Brand Support and Advancement
- Maintain visual design guidelines and standards with other designers; provide new ideas as needed.
- Create visually appealing and cohesive designs that align with brand visual identity.
- Act as an internal design consultant—guiding teams on visual best practices, recommending creative approaches, and educating stakeholders on how to improve storytelling through design.
- Ensure consistency in visual elements across all marketing, sales, and delivery materials.
- Meet regularly with other designers to share ideas and make improvements to deliverables.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends and tools.
- Own projects to help the team continuously improve or implement positive change
